Visual Studio Code has released a number of updates for February 2025, which make GitHub Copilot an even more powerful AI pair programmer. The updates include:
- Next edit suggestions: Copilot can now offer suggestions on the next edit you might need based on the changes you’ve been making.
- Copilot chat: Copilot chat can now be used to make changes to the spell file, make the buttons look prettier, and let the users select how many rows they want on each page.
- Copilot edits: Copilot edits can now make suggestions across a number of files.
- Copilot Vision: Copilot Vision can now be used to implement the changes shown in an image.
- Copilot agent mode: Copilot agent mode can now be used to reason and iterate over an entire project to perform complex operations.
- Prompt files: Prompt files can now be used to give more specific information about how you want things implemented.
These updates make Copilot an even more powerful tool for developers.
